Weird electrical troubles? Try a KAM reset, no guarantee, but it's cheap, and easy.

Example: I installed a light in my console to illuminate shifter gear indicator. Went to use cruise control, and nothing. Did KAM reset, birds started singing and the sky turned a nice blue. What that light had to do with the cruise, no idea, but it worked. I've had other non related electrical problems that were cleared up the same way.
So, my idea, disconnect battery negative anytime doing anything electrical on these things. When weird stuff happens, do the KAM reset.
BTW, the ELD is switched from the transfer case control module, yep, a little electronic thingy, thing may have gotten stupid somehow, and needs a reset.
Dare I suggest the battery may be olde and weak? Goofy things start happening then as well.
