Default A little help here

I have a new stereo in my truck and I am trying to add a set of speakers that I have setting around they have bare wires and I have tried connecting them to the slots on the back of the radio and they don't work the only way I can get them to work is to wrap them around the posts on the speakers in my doors but then they get scratchy if I turn it up very loud

either buy the correct plugs to fit the speaker, or you could do what I did, and Im sure others may do, and solder the wire directly to the speaker.

Sounds like you might have the wrong speakers for the radio, some speaker have different impedance that will not work with some decks, other problems might be the power rating of the speakers.
