Question Limited Slip Diff?

Can anyone tell me how to determine if my 1992 F-150 4.9L 4X4 (with 5spd manual trans.) has a limited slip differential?

Thanks!

Jack your truck up so that both rear tires are off the ground. With your truck in neutral, engine off, try to rotate one of your back tires by hand. If the opposite tire rotates opposite direction you do not have ltd slip. If it rotates in the same direction you do have ltd slip.

If your truck is still stock, never had the rear-end missed with, there should be an I D tag on one of the bolts on the center section (on a 9" rear-end the bolts that hold the pumpkin into the housing ) if it's a limited slip, it will have a L S on the I D tag along with some numbers.
