Lightning hits truck

Looks like it struck the ground right before the truck, flashed again as the truck was passing through that spot, and hit one final time, with the last pulse nearing it's end as the cam car rolls through it. A second or so later (in slo-mo time), sparks can be seen flying at the very right of the frame. I think both vehicles got hit.
That would suck royally. Due to the profundity of stupidity on our roads, I don't tail my wife closely driving anywhere.

"As the deputy was driving through the rain, she heard a loud clap of thunder, her dashboard lights turned on, and then the entire car turned off," said HCSO. "When she looked in the rearview mirror, she saw smoke. At first, she thought her tire popped, but as she, and other nearby drivers, pulled over she saw this video and the nearby lightning strike and realized it was the lightning that damaged the car."

My grandpa's car was hit by lightning one night as he was driving near Strong Arkansas. He thought it had hit really close to him, but when he got to Mena, he saw that it had hit the car. Big janked up spot right on the roof. It was in a Ford LTD, big old 70's model. The highway he was on was COVERED up by trees, possible it hit a tree and he got just a little bit of it arced to the car. I was in a building hit by lightning a few weeks ago, washing my hands in the restroom the moment it hit. I consider myself lucky it didn't give me a jolt through the plumbing.

When I was in the service, guy I knew had lighting hit the house he was renting. Hit the metal bar that penetrated the roof to hold the electrical line and following the frame of the house to the ground. He said he saw a light blue flash in the corner of the room, and shortly thereafter smelled smoke.
Toasted the corner 2x4's, and several feet of the header and footer boards. Melted the roof tiles immediately surrounding the metal support, and completely separated both the electrical wire and the support cable for it that ran to the pole.
That corner had a chair in it that his wife often sat in.

From looking at each frame it looks like it hit just infront of first truck and then just after it and again infront of second truck. If it hit the truck directly it'd be interesting to see the hit.
no matter what scary for all involved.. Glad they are all right.
