im confused as to what you mean by off-road. i've had a bull bar on my truck since day one and i have never even come close to hitting it on anything. when i off-road i try to avoid hitting things, besides mud holes.

I also try to avoid hitting things off road but in a situation where you are faced with a steep approach it will decrease your ability to climb with out contact. I have been in many situations where the two hooks rub. That would destroy a bull bar.

Ha yeah I guess we just do different types of off-roading. Mine is usually mud holes and trees in between them. If anything my bumper would hit a tree before my bull bar.
