Default Lift Question

Trying to put a 6" lift on a 2017 F-150 Roush. I would like to keep the stock wheels and fit 37x12.5x20 tires. Can you please recommend a 6" lift kit (BDS or Rough Country?) and advise if the Mickey Thompson rims will do the job? I already have fox 2.0 adjustable front end coilovers. Thank you in advance

Brand: Mickey Thompson
Model: MM-366
Partnumber: 90000022625
Color: Flat Black
Backspacing: 5.71
Offset: 18
Wheelsize: 20
Wheelwidth: 9

1) Will your stock wheels work with either of the kits you wish to install? visit their website to see if your large tire, and factor wheel, will fit.
2) Will your wheel width properly fit a 37x12.5 tire? See the tire manufacturer website for information regarding fitment.
3) Do you have Fox coilovers that are meant for a 4" or 6" lift kit? If not, why is that part relevent?
4) Why did you list a wheel spec when you plan to use stock wheels?

Thank you I used the wheel spec because that is what comes from Roush on the truck. I will contact the manufacturers. Thanks

I believe that bds has more parts in there kit then rough country that’s why there’s more cost to them. It helps bring factory suspension geometry back into spec where rough country does not.
The stock 20x8.5 rim will only work with a maximum of 305/60 tire at +44 offset on the bds lift. If you’re at +18 on a 9” rim, that’s a gain of -32 total pushing to the outside. That 305 is 12” wide so you should be fine for clearance with the 12.5.
As for running the 37” tall,be prepared for some trimming and or crash bar removal. You’re not going with crazy offset and rim width so you should be fine.

That is an erroneous statement. I have a Rough Country lift on my truck, I'm also a professional automotive technician, (suspension/alignment specialist). If the kit did not provide proper suspension geometry I would have never bought it.

I stand corrected, you are right. Should of found factual statement instead of going on here say.
Here’s what is different from bds to rough country:

The BDS lift will come with an entirely new trackbar drop bracket, while the Rough Country utilizes the stock trackbar brackets. The BDS lift kit will also come with a drop-pitman arm where the Rough Country Utilizes the stock pitman arm.

So if op is ok with using some stock components and wants to save a few dollars then RC would be the way to go. Nothing wrong with either brand. I own a bds 6” on my truck but believe me I’m on no band wagon. I went with it because I heard more good about there set up than good about RC. It just boils down to maintenance really. Treat it good and it’ll treat you good.

There is no pitman arm on a 2017 F150. Rack-n-pinion steering. RC drop sway bar brackets are provided in the kit, no idea what your calling a track bar is. Sounds like you may be using knowledge for an older truck to provide information in this thread which is unwise.

Thank you so much for being so helpful. So you guys believe I should be fine with sticking 37x12.5 on those rims with either lift? Am I correct to say that?
