Default Leveling and tire help!!

Hello all. I am thinking about doing a 3” leveling kit to my 19 f150. I do not know much about getting a leveling kit done and if I should change tire size.

I am wanting the truck to look good, but still have a smooth ride. The stock tires are 275/55R20

With that being said, if I get a 3” level kit will 33 inch tire be okay or too aggressive? Or do I keep the stock tires? Also, should I keep the wheels at 20 or go with an 18?

by doing a level kit and adding bigger tires (possibly), will I need to have the speedometer recalibrated?

any input is appreciated. Thanks!

Don’t go over 2.5” unless you don’t care about the front end of your truck. If you really care about the smooth ride, do nothing.

I'm assuming you are 4X4? If so, you can go as tall as 34" with no trouble. Myself, I have 305/70/17 tires, 34", on dome +20 wheels at 2.5-3" level with HaloLift Alumas. Zero problem.
How do you plan to level? Spacers or coilovers, I always recommend coilovers. I've done the celebrated Bilsteins, various spacers, and coilovers, coilovers, IMO, are the only way short of a full lift kit.

thanks for the reply! Yes it is 4x4. And after doing some research, definitely sounds like coilovers is the way to go, so that is what I will do. I don’t want to sacrifice quality over a couple hundred dollars. I was just worried about it being a rough ride, so your feedback is what I was looking for

If interested in Fox, they make a very good upper entry level coilover, and come set at 2.5" lift, and are adjustable. Ride is affected, slightly stiffer, but handling is vastly improved. Some people are more sensitive to ride than others, but I've never had a set up yet I'd call objectionable, that includes spacers as well.

what about the rough country? Any input on that? I’m not too sensitive about it. I just don’t want it being bumpy or loud when in the truck, makes the vehicle less family friendly lol.

No, no experience with Rough Country. I do have experience with Rancho Quick Lifts, a budget friendlier alternative. No trouble at all with those except the ride adjustments tend to get buggered up with winter use. They rode and handled well IMO.

Default 2" Level - Rear Block ?

I am looking to do a 2" level lift on my 2019 F150. It currently has 3" of rake from Hub Centerline to top of Fender front and back. I want to maintain 1.5" to 2" of rake. What size rear block should i be looking at to maintain a little rake?

Thanks

You could stick a 2" block in to get close to 1.5-2" of rake. Or just leave the rear alone for 1".
