Truly depends how mod friendly your dealers are. One dealer here will void your warranty for basically anything while the one across town could care less what's on the truck.

You'd have to find out from your local dealer. If the dealer does the install you will probably be fine. I used to do leveling kits on new trucks all the time at a Ford dealership to fit bigger tires on them and they would sell them as "lifted" and they retained their factory warranty because it was installed by a Ford certified tech. But as stated before me, every dealer is different.

Ya, a bunch of dealers here sell them lifted as well. You will see one in every Ford showroom here. For piece of mind/warranty, yes, the dealer-installed option is best. However, they will jack up the price of the truck like you wouldn't believe.
