Question Leveling Kit True or False?

True or false? A 3 inch leveling kit puts more strain on the suspension thanA 2 1/2 inch leveling kit does? Need help deciding on what is better.

True, and a 2 1/2" put's more then a 2 inch and so forth down the line.

So you agree with a 2 inch or a 2 1/2 inch lift being the safer, better route for the truck. I want that sharp look but if its going to mess something else up its not worth it in the long run.

The '04 and '05 4x4's needed a 2 1/2" kit to get them level. The '06's and up look great with a 2 inch.

I have a 04 supercrew that i think would look great with the front raised up, but i dont want to have a ton of repairs in store for me down the road.

Here's my previous truck a '04 4x4 with a 2 1/2" Daystar leveling kit I had put in back in '05. I sold the truck last year with almost 100k miles on it with no problem's. It's still in the truck as far as I know.

Did you do much off roading, i wont be doing much myself. This change is mainly for looks and to get the rake out of it.

i wouldnt worry about it man. anything you do to the front end is going to put more stress on it anyways. the difference between a 3" and a 2 1/2" level kit in terms of "more stress" would be minimal. another thing, if youre not going to be taking it off road and putting stress on the front end i wouldnt worry about it. level it and enjoy man. post some pics too.

It puts more wear on the cv's but you should get plenty of life out of them. Nobody else has complained about excessive wear.
