Default leveling Kit question

Newbie truck owner here.....I just had a shop put a leveling kit on my new 2011 f150 FX4. it looks a touch taller in the front than the back and i measured from the top of the tire to the top of the wheel wells and it is 9.5 inches in the front and 8.5 inches in the back. Is this the correct way to measure if it is level and if so is it a big deal if it is a little "higher" in the front? thanks.

What size level do you have? If you don't mind the nose a bit high look i would just leave it. My truck is a hair nose high so i plan on putting a larger rear block or AAL (add a leaf) so my truck will have a slight rake.

When you measure your truck I suggest measuring from the ground to the center of the wheel well arch. Some guys like it high in the front, some like it high in the back, I prefer the leveled look and will soon add airbags to the rear to assist the leafs so it won't squat when it's loaded down. I would also suggest checking your headlight so they don't shine up to high.

i did not do it, so i simply asked fpr a leveling kit which i assumed would be 2-2-1/2 inches.....whatever the rake was. i did nor realize they would "level it" by lifting the front what must have been at least three inches. i put 33inch tires, so my concern about putting an inch block in the back is that i will have too much lift for 33s. (look wise) I really liked the "leveled" look with 33s. do you think they put the "wrong" kit on? is it something they screwed up, or is this an imperfect science. i kind of just wanted a level truck with room for 33s.

No, they didn't put the wrong kit on. If u ddnt provide a kit for them to install, I'd go back and ask em to go down an inch. Do you know if they did a torsion crank or a strut spacer?

That sounds like a strut spacer, if it's made out if polly, it should settle an inch within time

Does it say anywhere if it's made of polyurethane? Or is it stainless steel?
