Default leveling kit and front differential

the other day i went to back up my f150 in four wheel drive and it made a loud griding and clunking from the front differential....any idea what it could be and if it would be covered under warranty. It only does it in reverse and when all four start to spin. Also wondering if anyone knows if the warranty is still good if you put aftermarket stuff on like a 3" leveling kit and 33" tires??

As in my SIG I have the 08 FX4. THe kit I had installed was front only, but there are kits out there that have front with and AAL (add a leaf).

You can get them on www from $60 and up. I pqaid a total like $220 (a while ago don't remember exactly) for the install, part, and re-alignment through FORD. It was $$ money, but I wanted the ESP and Extended warranty intact.

i got mine from procomp it was $220 for my 2004 f150... and yes it only goes on the front its an easy install only takes a couple hours if you have the right tools but i never knew that there was a ford certified leveling kit so i would check that out first because im not sure if doing it my way will void your warranty i wouldnt think so but im not sure yet so i guess ill find out later this week. Also when you get the leveling kit they say you can get enough clearance for 35s but i read reports saying that they'll rub so i just got 33s and its all good.
