Leveling kit
I know this has probably been around the block so many times and as old as dial up internet, but I just want to get a straight answer.
I have a 2022 XLT, does a leveling kit void the vehicle warranty? I have been given conflicting answers from yes, to no, to if is does the kit manufacturer will pick up the repair.
Please, can somebody give me the right answer.
Thanks

somebody actually thinks that if a level kit voids factory warranty that then the kit mfg will take over responsibility for factory warranty? Whoa
It has been around since just after dial up, and there has yet to be and ending thread to prevent this ever being asked again.
A manufacturers warranty covers about 18,000 things. A level kit can void a small number of 18,000 things.
If you go in there saying your ball joint are worn out, they will probably tell you to give them money and they will fix it.
If your rear bumper falls off, they will cover that under the Ford warranty because a level kit won't affect the rear bumper.
If you realize your A/C stops blowing cold 3 days after the level install, Ford should fix that unless they can tell that the level installer had reason to tinker with anything related to A/C.
They can claim the level kit caused premature wear of the CV boots and axles (legitimate), ball joints, anything steering related like tie rod ends......
Slightly sidelined -a person has a 4" lift installed and they cracked open their differential. Ford denied the claim with a writeup explaining why -they discussed how the lift kit that was installed is inadequate and allowed the driveline to shift, therefore cracking the diff.
Some members here would agree, or find it plausible. In that case, it is said that the lift company is going to warranty it and pay for a new front differential (it is literally in 2 parts at the moment).
That is not your case, but you get the idea. I think if the same truck lost the rear bumper, Ford would have filed a warranty claim on it.
There, I guess I gave the exact answer. Lets lock it and make it a sticky so nobody ever has to ask again.
Oh, I wish it worked that way!!

while I don’t disagree with most of your examples/rationale/theory, I wouldn’t rely on any of it.
What matters is the details of his actual warranty.
if I wanted reassurance in this scenario, but was unable/unwilling to read my warranty, but still had to have a lift….. I’d go to dealer, request a written estimate and make sure that it included exact parts/modifications and an explicit statement that this work will not void warranty. Then make sure it was also stated on work order before proceeding (and then hope their opinion/statement doesn’t contradict actual warranty details).
