Show us a daytime pic in the sun with brake lights on vs no lights on. That is a ticket waiting to happen. Once you get rear ended, the person that hit you has proof enough that he couldn't see your brake lights. Any cop will look at your tails and shake his head. Safety before looks apply in this situation.

both of those pictures are in the middle of the day sun out. And you can't see in the pictures but there's still slight red visible through the plastidip. It's not against the law, I looked at a guys truck that has the plastic tint covers over it that are legal and it's darker then what I have. And I also went up to the highway patrol office and dot office to be sure and got the ok.
Even if it's not against the law, which I question, you are setting yourself up for harassment from any cop that wants to mess with you.
And, part of the function of the lens is to act as a reflector and you are defeating that purpose so therefore it is a safety hazard.

those plastic tint covers are completely legal and they completely block out the red, so there defeating the reflector purpose also but are completely legal. Like I said I went to dot (department of transportation) and highway patrol office. I know people at both that have been at each for 20+ years and always shoot me a straight answer about any legal or non legal stuff. And the thing with tail light in florida or at least north florida is the red cannot be completely blocked. And like I said in a earlier post my red is a lot more visible then the other pictures I have show. I will get better pictures of that today.
