LED hyperflash with and w/o resistor
my 2013 f150 ecco 4x4 has had some quirky electrical issues since i bought it used a couple years ago but nothing that is a big concern to me. i changed over all my bulbs to led except for hid headlights when i got it. i am using decent quality bulbs from f150leds. i have had problems before with the front turn signals and the MKII bulbs where the resistor caused issues with one side not flashing. i replaced bulbs with another set and resistors with an updated resistor harness. come to find out that when i removed the front resistors the lights functioned fine without them so i leave them off and everything is working fine for months. recently my drivers side parking/signal is hyperflashing only when parking/ headlights are on. blinks fine when lights are off. other side works fine with or w/o lights on. tried replacement bulb and putting resistor harness back on and they wont blink. i took them back off and am living with the hyperflash on one side but i want to fix it if i can. it use to work fine with lights on. any suggestions. i checked all my bulbs (MKII with resistors in rear) and all is fine.
I think it's due to the bulbs you are using. The bulbs you are using are not actually high quality. I had some of their products on my truck (before forming my company) and had issues here/there... others have had issues as well.
IF you don't experience issues with OTHER Lights, that tells me it's the bulbs you chose.
THe fact that they worked for a while without resistors tells me someone may have just programmed your truck so the warning lights don't work, allowing you to run LEDs without resistors.
The fact that you are having issues NOW suggests just poor quality bulbs..

You can correct the LED hyperflash via Forscan. No resistors necessary, just a laptop with the free Forscan software installed(with the free license) and a Forscan compatible OBD2 dongle

i have forscan and the dongle amd have set my parking lights as drl months ago. wonder if that is the issue butbwhy would it start now. can you tell me what settingbto go into to change that and if i do should i remove my resistors from the rear tailights.
thanks very much for the Forscan info. all i needed to do was a little programming and lights fixed with no resistors. only wish i had this info sooner before i spent all the time with resistors
Never got a chance to respond to your question, I apologize. Very glad you figured it out though.
