Default LED Ambient Lighting

So I installed some LED strips under the dash and normally in past cars, I just pick a fuse that turns on when you turn the key and voila. I'm using a fuse adapter but for some reason no matter what fuse I pull out of the interior fuse box on the passenger side and install my fuse adapter, I am getting constant power. The problem with that is even when power isn't on, the lights are remaining on and I don't want that. I only want them to turn on either when my headlights go on or when I turn the key. I really don't want to tap into a wire which is why I used the fuse adapter. Any suggestions? I drive a 2012 Ford F150 3.5L Ecoboost FX4

So I just figured out the answer. Fuse #34 Reverse sensing system, 4x4 switch, Rear video, Off road indicator (SVT Raptor)
Using a fuse adapter, this will allow the lights to only come on when the key is turned on. No splicing of wires required. I made a short DIY just below with that link

I've been toying with the idea of doing some ambient lighting in my cupholder area.....I want to basically cut a thin opening completely around the inside of the cupholder area, and attach leds to the back side of the console piece, so they shine through...
