Default lean missfire and ticking

2007 Ford F150 Lariat 5.4 V8 2 wheel drive Gas 141000 miles. first started with missing with gradual acceleration but goes away once i turn off overdrive. I replaced the MAF sensor and then cleaned the new one, sea foamed the engine, replaced the air filter, had the plugs checked and they are good and now there is a ticking noise in the engine as well. I read about CAM Phasers but not sure if that should be my next step or if I should check the Fuel filter or fuel pump first. The ticking sound that does not go away at any speed has me thinking ( I am just a gun toting knuckle dragger though) CAM Phasers. I dont know enough to replace on my own so will need to take it in but wanted to ask here for any advice.

If it wants to miss when in O/D, I would suspicion a weak coil. How do you seafoam an engine, and did the tick start after that?

I poured a third of the bottle in the brake boster vacuum hose, 1/3 in the oil and 1 1/3 in gas tank. Let it hot soak for about 10 minutes then fired it up smiked for about 1 minute then drove it for about 20 minutes. No the ticking started before the seafoam.

I'm going to say coil pack is going south and you have a leaky exhaust manifold

Change the oil, never put nothing in the crankcase but the oil the truck calls for.The tick could possibly be phasers, or something else for that matter. Need to have someone with experience with Fords to listen to it.

Ok i normally dont but after reading about sea foam I added it to the crankcase per the directions. I will avoid putting sea foam or anything else in.

copy that. I will narrow it down. I will see which onw if it shows up on a reader and replace it. I am OK with the coils but will not do the plugs myself in fear of breaking one off. Although i might just chance it after getting a price to replace plugs.

should i just replace all coil packs or just which ever ones are bad? besides the price of each one is there a reason i should not just go with all new?
