Default Layering window tint?

As the title says, can window tint be layered? I'm not saying 3 or more layers. I just mean 2 layers. I have a layer of 20% on my front two windows, and went to a shop to see if they could put an extra layer (not sure what % yet) around the whole truck, and the worker said that tint CANNOT be layered because it can cause peeling. I always see people that layer a couple layers of tint, so I feel like this is not true. I just wanted to check with the forum, and see if the guy was just trying to charge me extra for tint removal.

Thanks,
Caleb

remove it yourself - razor blade and some windex, doesn't take much time. peel up a corner, strip the film off, spray it with windex and work the adhesive off with the razor blade. not fun, but not hard either

no, you shouldn't layer tint - it's designed to adhere to glass, not tint film. don't waste your money, do it right the first time.

My daughter's car had layered tint when we bought it. It looked like hell, and peeled like a banana around the edges. I tore that crap off within 48 hours and had it re-tinted to her liking.

Do some people get lucky once in a while? Sure... But as a general rule, layered tint will eventually peel! Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but in due time it will happen!
