Default laptop cpu to indash lcd?

i have a Dell netbook that i just cracked the screen on so i bought a new one. Im wanting to take the screen off an hook the laptop minus the screen up to a indash 7 in lcd screen and put the laptop in the console and use a bluetooth keyboard and mouse. so that i can have more media options, laptop based gps and use wifi or 3g to access the internet without having a laptop sitting out.

so what im trying to figure out is there anyone that has done this. im wondering if the image on the cpu screen being changed to a composite cable would cut part of the screen off?

What kind of video out does your laptop have? (VGA, S-Video) If it has one of these I would think it would just be a matter of finding the right cable to connect the 2.

You can yse any VGA -> coaxial video signal converter. It will only reduce the resolution to old TV standart (520 vertical lines if i remember it right). I'm not sure devices of which brands are available in there, but i guess that any with 9-12V power supply will fit.
