Keyless entry security
Hmmm...now I'm questioning it again...lol. I'm sure I opened it from the outside as we were standing beside the truck. I just know that the alarm went off two or three times when I opened the rear door. I will have to try to recreate the situation sometime and see if I can get it to do it again.
There is no such thing as a master key, they either had to have a fob that electronically unlocks the truck or watched someone entering the door code and reentered it (if you have the keypad) or you didn't lock the truck with your fob.
This is provided you are not talking about an aftermarket system.
Manually locking the doors will not set the alarm.

Another question. While having my navigation system installed. Could someone have reprogramed the keypad with a new code?
If someone knows the factory code, they can program their own code. Of course, if they know the factory code, then they don't need to program their own code. The card in the manual folder (if not removed) gives them the factory code, their is a sticker in the vehicle that gives them the code, or they can hookup a computer to get the code.
