Key fob question
I know I am not doing this correctly, but I have a 2020 Ford F150 XLT, and neither of my 2 key fobs will remote start my truck. Is this common of dead batteries in the fobs, and if so how do you get at the batteries. If there is another problem associated with this problem please advise.
Thanks
Mike

The first thing to check would be the battery in the fob. To access it, release the key. Then you will find a narrow slot in the key cavity. Use a knife, very small screw driver, put it in the slot and pry open the cover to expose the battery.
Agree with above.
Additionally, certain active fault codes will not allow remote starting while still allowing 'normal' starts, may consider having your computer codes pulled for review.

Does it start with Ford Connect App?
I have the same 2020 XLT. Key fob has lock, unlock, and alarm. I’ve been told to hit lock, unlock, and lock again quickly and it will start, but nothing. It does start however with the Ford app.

Lots of information out there on remote start with the lock, unlock, lock sequence. This never worked on my 2020 XLT. May work for earlier MYs. What I did was replace the 3 button remote with a 4 button remote. This requires the tpm receiver be replaced with a 903 mhz receiver. Remote will work great then and give you remote start from the key fob.
Engineering part # F2GT-15K619-CB. For the receiver.
I have an extra one if interested.
