This is the sequence for use, at least on my 13: Immediately lock the truck with the FOB, then immediately press that key 2 times and your vehicle should start.

When pressed it allows you to make a u turn in areas where it is marked as illegal.
The button below it makes the truck take a dookie i.e. number 2.

thanks for the heads up but doesn't make sense as when you leave your vehicle and lock it you're walking away why would you start it? Just saying and yes I tried it and it works.

It used to just be called remote start but now with the bad connotations that come with just running a vehicle vis-a-vis climate change and several places making it illegal to idle unoccupied vehicles they call it climate preconditioning or other. It's supposed to be for those who might want to get the a/c or heat going before they go outside to take off. You have to press the lock button first to enable it so that the vehicle is locked while unoccupied and running because....well....why would you want your vehicle running unlocked and unattended. You can also schedule starts and make rules on some vehicles like putting in a leave time where it'll do it on its own and have the vehicle ready for the ten ply owner.

If you are talking to me, I was only explaining what the switch does and how to do it. When you use it, thats entirely up to you.
