Auto sprinkler would be nice, that is until you forgot to shut it off on your way to work.
I have the same issues but i live in town so no guns. I've called the township about it and they refuse to do anything because they don't want to pay to put them down. Last year there were 14 and they had kittens, its insane. Doesn't help somebody on my block is feeding them. Not only to they do the electric slide across my hood, they **** in my yard, and now that the weather has changed i found out they have been pissing all over my porch.

My buddy had one that used to jump on his '66 stang. We went fishing and grilled up some fresh red fish with a little lemon & pepper seasoning, and laced one with a little bit of DECON. Never saw that cat again.

If you use lead in any form then SSS(shoot, shovel, shut up). Live traps from lowe's baited with food work as well but, sometimes you get a possum or coon. Toss the trap in the bed and drive the criminal to the shelter, some municipalities will pick them up at your house once they are in the trap, call yours and ask. DO NOT LEAVE THE TRAP WITH A TOM CAT IN YOUR CARPORT OR GARAGE. It will **** its brains out and stink to high heaven. Don't ask me how I know. Could not grill in the carport for almost two weeks.

Actually I don't have a problem with cats on my truck because I park in my garage. However, there does seem to be a problem with cats around the area, because a few houses down the Obama worshiper feeds the strays.
What does Obama have to do with cats on a truck. You going to blame him for that also. Boy, we just love to hate anything that doesn't look like you.
