I currently own a 97 expedition with some light body damage, eh paint, ect. pretty gutted. has 135k miles on it, but so far has run nice.

I was thinking of selling this and spending about 8k total on a f150, with the 2004+ body style.

Ideally, in the end, i want a lift, big tires, and a grill guard.

Here are my options:
buy an 04 f150 for 8kish (i saw some on craigslist around there) that has 120~k miles

spend that money in the expedition, which needs a paintjob, a new passenger rear door (and a little of nearby panel) and almost a whole new interior (its very crappy currently)

opinions?

 

Im not finding much luck in 8000$ range for 2004 (newer body style) f150's though

 

I would upgrade. I see a lot of nice F150's in that price range.

 

Id buy the f150. Make sure the plugs are done if its a 5.4
