Just ordered an SCT. YESSS!!!!
My glasspack made my truck sound better. CAI gave it more throttle response. I'm really hoping this sct, once i get custume tunes, really makes my truck fun.
I'm pretty sure that's how it works. However; I'm not the most knowledgeable person in that area. I have an edge Evo and if I wanted custom times I would have to mail it off to a company called power hungry performance and then they would send it back with the tunes I specified. I'm assuming SCT has something similar to that.

Getting a custom tune is pretty easy with the SCT units, just pick which place you want the custom tune from, email them ( or call ) your PCM strategy code, serial number off your tuner, list of any mods done to the truck and what type of custom tune you want ( each place will offer a slightly different type but usually you will fill out a custom tune form when ordering ) and they then will create the custom tune and email it to you.
Once you have the emailed tune, just download the free SCT Updater program off www.sctflash.com tech tab, and use it to load the custom tune onto the SCT unit and then upload to the truck via the OBII port.
Trust that clarifies.

And for Droop, you'll love having a tuner. Makes the truck a whole new thing and much more fun to drive, even with just canned tunes
