Just A Fun Camper Shell Question
So, I was parked in front of my work the other day, waiting to clock in, and I see a 1982-ish Ford Bronco pull up and park beside me... a nice "Eddie Bauer"-looking one, with the maroon/beige two-tone, and the shell painted beige, to match the trim.
It got me thinking... has anyone ever color-matched their camper shells to match the trim colors on their Lariats or King Ranches? All I ever see are shells that are either white, or body-colored. I think if I ever put a shell on my Lariat (once I have it), I would paint it to match the beige trim... I think it'd look cool, retro, and unique.

My shell matches the body color but I have also thought that one that matches the trim would look good too. I think it would depend on the total color scheme and how well the camper shell manufacturer paint matches. Mine is an A.R.E. Brand shell. The color of the shell does not match perfectly the color of the truck, but to most casual lookers they would never notice. I later learned that the best color matches much include the exact production date of the truck in addition to color code. Apparently Ford keeps a computer log of each day's exact color code and is able to provide it to,the camper shell manufacturer. Good luck with your decision.

That's weird i was thinking the same thing the other day lol. I think a camper shell painted to match the trim w/ pinstripes of the body color could look great if done correctly.

Just saw this today. I think it looks pretty good, but could definitely be improved upon.
