It Just Flat Quits
Guys:
Got a stalling problem that's a real pain in the butt.
This one's on a '88 F150 with a 4.9 I-6, 4-speed with O/D. This was a Florida truck and has 80K miles. After its warmed up and at moderate speeds the engine just stalls out. I push the clutch in, let the tach drop off and turn the key and it fires right back up every time. The senareo could repeat itself right away or maybe not at all till the next time I drive it. Driving over 70 and or hot weather seems to make it happen more often. I've done all the basics - new plugs, plug wires, distributer cap & rotor, new distributer ignition module and fuel by-pass valve. ANY IDEAS OUT THERE???
