Did you get Historic Vehicle plates for it?

What engine? I had an 85 with the 5.8 HO. Almost impossible to get it to pass smog every year. Otherwise it was bulletproof for 15 years and 170k miles.

Had one for 15 years and it was such a good truck. Basic maintenance (used dealer at the time) and not a lot more. Sold it to a guy that drove it over another 100,000 miles. It was a 302 V-8, 4x4 manual tranny with EFI and when sold it had about 175,000 miles. Look carefully under the hood for plastic lines that need some help - most can be RVT siliconed back in place. This truck was used in a rough, rural mountain area and it held up really well.

No I didn't. Didn't know that was an option, tbh

Not exactly sure. The older gentleman I got it from just said 302 v8. Is that the same as you had? Also, being this old means its exempt from emissions here

The lines you mentioned, are those on 4wd only, or on both 2 and 4wd trucks? Mines 2

302 cubic inches is the 5.0 liter V8 engine.
I had one in a 1989 F150. It burned 1 quart of oil every 3000 miles. Other than that it was a great engine/truck.

Enjoy.
