Thanks. I will definitely try out the OD thing. Probably won't be pulling the boat again till this weekend.

maybe I missed this somewhere...2007 XLT WHAT? what cab ext, screw?

reason I ask, I experienced the same type of thing pulling a stock trailer (w/ 1 horse) with 04 Expedition; the herky jerky thing (IMO) was an combination of the short wheelbase and road condition, even little bumps caused the trailer to push or pull the suv.

anyone chime in if I'm incorrect on this...

FYI: I have a F150 now and have not pulled a single trailer with it!?!?

Mine jerks when I am not towing anything, if I have cruise control on and am going down a fairly steep hill. It's like it doesn't know what to do with the transmission. It feels like it is locking and unlocking. I can make it stop by turning cruise off.
