Thumbs up Jeep Wave

Hi All,

Newly minted F-150 owner, here. A 2011 Scab XLT because these things are, apparently, unholy expensive. Best vehicle I have ever owned, though, besides my previous love, my Wrangler:

It may not be apparent, but there is a 4" lift and 33" tires stuffed up in the fenders as I landed the jump. My wife is the one treating the ride like a roller coaster. We get along very well.

Now, what's got me posting this is, where the heck is the F-truck wave? Being an ex-jeeper, I'm used to seeing other insanely intelligent people on the road and celebrating our excellent taste in transportation and incredible good looks with a casual wave.

Thus far, the most I've gotten from another F-truck owner was a look of confusion.

Well, let it be known. If you see some dude wave at you in southeast or northern Michigan, you are probably in an F-150 and he is congratulating you on your above average intelligence. It's okay to wave back!

-Mike

That's funny. I've had other guys give me the thumbs up and of course the obligatory "park your truck beside other trucks" in the parking lot. The green wrangler with black wheels looks good. Got me thinking, I'd like to see a green gem F150 with black wheels. That would look nice

I've come so close to starting a thread similar to this.. I always wave and 1 out of 10 wave back... It's going to get started in my town if I have anything to say about it!

I agree! My last 4 vehicles have been Wranglers. I thought for sure the F-150
brotherhood would have a waive. Like some of the other guys have said, I'm gonna hafta start the trend here.

KILOFINAL: That Sahara green and tan style jeep with black wheels was totally the way to go. Unfortunately, Jeep doesn't make that color anymore. On a truck it would look killer.

I don't feel so bad any more knowing there are other ex-jeepers out there! But, I guess it is a jeep thing given all your replies. Still, that's not gonna stop me...

Around here you would be waving constantly. Don't know how much it has to with us assembling the F150s here in town.

There are a ton of F-150's here in Alberta. It's always been my mentality that F-150 owners are like Camry or other regular car owners in the sense that most consider them just an appliance, and very few notice other ones on the road. Most just don't care, whereas Porsche, Corvette and Jeep owners seem to have more passion for the product and notice the enthusiasts.

However, the F-150 owners on the social media community like this one are fantastic. I've met at least 10 members of this forum and our Alberta Facebook group in person and they are all friendly, knowledgeable and have the same passion for these trucks. This forum is pretty much an electronic version of "the wave".
