IWE problem or not?
So I need your thoughts on this please.
Sorry it is a little long
Here is a little background of what has been going on.

So i took it back in and they finally took the whole wheel apart including the IWE and cleaned and regreased everything.
That was last thursday.
drove around friday and saturday morning everything was fine noise was gone great they finally figured it out.
saturday afternoon i was pulling my trailer and on my second trip ( trailer empty 1500 lbs) i hear this god awful noise like marbles in a tin can.
I start slowing down and looking back at the trailer maybe it is falling off or something, everything looks fine the noise is coming from the drivers front wheel.
I get to thinking since they worked on the IWE and i researched on this forum what an IWE was maybe that is the problem.
I flip it into 4X4 noise goes away, flip back and noise comes back.
i finish my trip in 4X4 ( good thing the roads had snow on them ) then put it in the garage.
sunday morning i trace the vacuum lines for the IWE and cannot see anything wrong, I pulled the line off at the hub and everything looked good.
Tapped what i think is the solenoid for this might not be the right one as everyone says it is behind the battery but this one is next to the battery by the fan looks like all the pictures i have seen.
so i take it out for a test drive no more noise.
leave it out in the cold for a few hours thinking it might be water in the line causing the problem after it freezes, another test drive no problem.
been driving all week and has not returned.
I have not pulled my trailer again yet to see if it happes again.
so do these solenoids get intermittent or do they just fail?
what are the chances of the vacuum line on the hub having some debris or something causing a leak and reseatting it fixed it.
is that the correct location of the solenoid or is it behind the battery on an 09?
I don't see how but could the trailer have any effect on this?
any thoughts on what happened?
I have called the dealer to inform them of what happened and they said they would get back to me.
Thanks

So today i basically mirrored the conditions of last weekend.
do some running around in the morning then pull two trips with the trailer in the afternoon.
no repeat of the noise at all.
so my thinking trailer did not cause it to happen.

Iwe solenoid bad these systems work backwards vacuum applied releases hubs remove vacuum and hubs lock. Your solenoid is most likely the problem or one of your supply lines to solenoid check valves are bad.

The problem has happened for one day until I checked everything then it has not happened since.
