Default Itching to buy!

I have been looking at purchasing a F-150 Platinum or Lariat for awhile. This month there seems to be a phenomenal deal on 2011 Platinums at 0% with 60 days deferred payments and a price that is lower than a loaded 2012 Lariat! I guess my question is should I or shouldn't I?

Pros 2011 Platinum:

has 36 gallon fuel tank
is rated 15/21 with EB that is 20% better mpg than my Explorer
will make me happy
Dealer has Candy Red, Black, and Ingot in stock

Cons:

Monthly payment of $700 for 5 years
I don't need one for towing until summer

I just got a response saying they'll work with me. Guess I need to stop in and see if it's going to happen.

Looks to me if you can afford the coin the 2011 Platinum is the way to go. Seems like there are quite a few available out my way (Northern VA). Seems the Dealers are pretty eager to dump them. I have USAA and have seen prices near $43k for a $53k msrp. I am looking hard for the "right" one now. Please don't buy the one I'm looking at .... thanks!

Markm, I will try not to buy the one you are looking at! I found 3 under 43k and if I can get 0% I will own a new vehicle today! If not I will start shopping for 2012s from here on out.

I was offered the 0% on the FX2 I just bought. I thought it was for any model. Maybe different depending on the area you are located.

True, but my student loans are 3k per month, which is more than my mortage and truck payments combine . Maybe one day the student loan bubble will burst.
