I had an issue when trying to reinstall the Taillight assemblies back on my F150 after replacing a burned out bulb. I found that the pin receivers stuck to the pins on the light assembly. I had to pry them off and put them back in the bed before the assembly would seat correctly.

 

We don't know what you have, so you should put ALL the truck's details & history (as much as you know) into your signature so it shows with each post, as this page explains:
