Question Iphone Adapter

Hello All,

Question, I want to hookup my iPhone to the Auxilary plug. 1) does anyone know if there is an adapter for the iPhone that will hookup to the stock stereo in a 2006 f150 Supercrew Stock stereo? 2) how do I pull the stereo out?

Thanks in advanced!

If your not too concerned, they have radio tuners at walmart. You match the frequency on the tuner and the radio and it plays through the radio. The farther away the worse the static gets, but up close its not too bad. Only like $40

Default iphone connector

I am also searching for a connection to my ipod. I am just very pick. First DO NOT GET A WIRELESS RADIO TRANSMITTER. UNLESS YOU ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DESERT THEY JUST SUCK. No matter how little radio interference you get the quality is not there.

So here is what I have found so far to connect directly to my stock stereo.. btw i have a 2006 ford f150 supercrew with 6cd/satellite.

First I heard of somethign called Trip Tunes by Ford. Its only 50$ but details were limited and some people said they got them, most said the dealerships never heard of them and it had been 6 months since they ordered one and still didn't have one. I didn't follow that route long

Best Buy has 2 cables (i know they both give you ipod/iphone connections, i don't remember if they also give you an auxillary connection)

1. 200$ including installation. it hooks into your satellite input and it will charge your ipod. My problem with it is that you must control it through your stereo. It is NOT user friendly. I had multiple ipod connections in my old car and the best is to either buy a 500$ deck that has great control options, or get something to control through your ipod/iphone.

2. 150$ including installation. it hooks up to directly through your radio and will charge your ipond. It also allows you to control it through your ipod/iphone. My problem with this is i have had mixed reviews on the connections that hook up to your radio. I hear they are very sensitive, sometimes you get interference from the radio, and the sound quality is just not all the way there. though it is much better than a radio transmitter.

Next I went to www.crutchfield.com . if you search for frd04aux in their website it will bring it up. it is the name of the cable

1. 99$ no installation. (also required to get a rca to aux converter wire, 5.00$ and you must get it wired to a 12v source in your car, wires for this not included, i'm guessing they are around 10$) This only gives you an auxilary cable so you can hook anything up to it but it will not charge your ipod. Also, if you don't have a satellite hookup in the car then it must replace your CD player...

2. They also had a cable that replaced the radio but i didn't follow up on that b/c i don't want to replace the radio

Last I went to a local car stereo place, (Jacks Stereo in Waco, Texas)

1. around 230$ installation included. (160$ cable for iphone, 25$ vehicle specifice harness, Installation fees$$$)This gives you ipod/iphone connection with charging capabilites and a auxillary input. You have 3 aux inputs, satellite is in one, you hook this up to one of the other two depending on whether you want to control it through your deck or through your ipod/iphone. Then you hook up the auxillary input to the remaining port. This means this is the only connection i have found that allows you to have cd, radio, satellite, ipod/iphone, and auxillary inputs at the same time. Only problem here is the price... But its probably what I will do..

Please let me know if you find anything else

I dunno if your truck has it, but mine has the aux plug in on top of the dash above the radio. All I have is a plug that plugs into that and the other end plugs in to the head phone part of my iphone or any other mp3 player, like my kids have. They're less than $10, you have the ire sticking out, but it doesn't bother me.
