Question Intermittent Air Flow Climate Control System

I have a 2017 F150 XLT 5.0. About a month ago I started having the issue where after starting my truck, the climate control system would blow air normally for about 5 to 15 minutes before the air flow would decrease and become very weak to non-existent. This issue occurs no matter what the temperature settings are or the air flow settings are adjusted to. I can still change where the air comes out from just fine (floor, dash, defrost). For the past week while running just the heater I have noticed that the airflow will go in and out from being fairly strong to weak. Even when it is blowing stronger though it doesn't blow as strong as it used to.

I took it into the shop this week and had it looked at. The mechanic said that it was the resistor in the blower motor (blower motor and resistor are all one part for this). They replaced the blower motor but the problem is still occurring. Does anyone have any thought s on this?

Vehicle Information Type of HVAC?

  1. There are year specific forums which better serve non-general F-150 issues/topics..
  2. Consider putting your complete vehicle information (year, model, cab, trim, engine, wheelbase, _x4 drive, mileage, maintenance, modifications, etc., etc.) in your signature to have it automagically included when you post.

**If you're posting with a non-PC ap' insure that "full version" is selected to work properly.

Yeah, that's a common perception when someone points out the correct and the obvious to someone who doesn't want to hear the correct and obvious....

There is a difference between pointing things out to help someone and being condescending.

Ever wonder why so many members can locate the general discussion section, but can't find the year specific to their truck section ?
Think how much less clutter there would be in the general section if they could..

I attribute that to a sub-optimal forum layout, lack of instructions for newbies, and a complete lack of relevant moderation.

RL1990 - There is a difference between pointing things out to help someone and being condescending.
There isn't an ounce of condescension in the posts. They're to the point, and despite your opinion, have received several Thank You and likes as being helpful.

ProjectSHO89... sub-optimal forum layout, lack of instructions for newbies...
Agree, however, a restructure would be a LARGE task and then there would be the necessary user reacclimatization (and ranting, and whining, and...).

In an ideal situation, before new users were granted access there would be required reading of instructions.

Carry-on...
