Default Interior trim kits?

Bought my friends 2017 Lariat with Black Appearance Package. Black exterior/interior. I dislike the interior silver and chrome accents. I can live with the chrome trim rings if I change the silver.

I see interior trim kits online, but have no experience with them. I think they stick on with double sided tape. Do they look decent installed? Do they last? Concerned about the door pull handles staying on.

Are they crap?

If it were mine and I really really hated the color, I would remove the trim pieces and have them painted. Sure it'll cost more and take longer but will look better than the those stickers.

The trim kits I've seen look terrible when applied. Of course I haven't seen them all. If I wanted to change color, I would remove them and have the vinyl wrapped.

Thanks for that. I’m guessing they must mostly look similar since they are basically the same
thing. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen in real
lofe other than web photos.

I don’t care for the black interior/silver trim/chrome lines. I’m kinda screwed all the way around! Hahaha.

Just look on ebay for black interior pieces...

Back in the day when I had time, I would've disassembled the dash and skinned all those pieces in real carbon fiber. lol

Ha! Sounds fun!
I thought of carbon fiber or black wood grain but easily accept black.

Just the pieces that are silver. About 15 items or so.
I noticed some of the fake trim kits have sometimes 30+ pieces to cover all the various surfaces.

Thanks for the idea and link.

XL and STX have all of those parts in black. You
could always use those parts.

Take the pieces you hate to local hydro dip provider and make them the color you do like.

Thanks for that. I’ll look up costs for black parts, I saw they don’t have the chrome rings which is an added plus. Hydro dipping offers some fun alternatives.

The exterior is all black, except for the wheels and running boards that are a grayish. I took off decals and emblems/badges. I’d like to either paint or powdercoat the wheels, or just get different wheels that are black, and a black exhaust tip. I think the exhaust pipe is 3 inches?

So maybe the interior with a mild carbon fiber look, would be a bit sporty and not too much.

Want to have black wheels, maybe red caliper covers or black caliper covers and a black exhaust tip.

Someone local to me painted the same wheels with gloss spray paint so I know what it could look like. A local shop quoted $380 to powdercoat.
