You know what you're suppose to do when you're lost? Call the operator and ask her trace the call and tell you where you are.

New Jersey does not have self serve, either.
quote from wikipedia:
All stations in New Jersey and Oregon offer only full service and mini service; attendants are required to pump gas because customers are barred by statutes in both states from pumping their own gas. New Jersey banned self-service gasoline in 1949 after lobbying by service station owners. Proponents of the ban cite safety and jobs as reasons to keep the ban.[15] Likewise, the 1951 Oregon statute banning self-service gasoline lists seventeen different justifications, including the flammability of gas, the risk of crime from customers leaving their car, the toxic fumes emitted by gasoline, and the jobs created by requiring mini service.

I wish there were more full service stations around me... I've been trying to figure out how people in wheelchairs get out to pump gas if the filler is on the drivers side...

Thanks everyone for the attention. Hey shortride, I like the operator and the phone trace for a location idea, but of course when you have AT&T, the dead zone leader, there is no phone. And Dewman, thanks for the straight scoop on the self service laws and restrictions, wouldn't have expected anything less than the straight scoop form you. And the last responder, 95stepside, I'm with you fella. Show me a handicapped person and they never complain, life dealt them a raw deal and they deal with it. The rest of us just bitch and moan, for what?
