Default I'm getting Ford Bedliner..

After reading on here the pros and cons to the Ford spray in for bedliner and comparing that to the price of the Line X, I decided to go ahead and take the plunge on the Ford bed liner... More so due to the price I am paying for it.
I have a friend who has a friend that works at the Ford dealership and he has no issues with giving veterans and public safety personnel deep discounts for the bed liners. I asked him what his process was he told me they use sanders in the bed of the truck to sand down all of the high-gloss areas like you're supposed to do, they remove all the hardware in the bed of the truck except for the bed bolts.
He told me my bed requires 3 gallons of mix. But once again he's very patriotic and he told me that he actually uses 4 gallons of mix to give the bed liners more of an extra thick coating.

Also I purchased one of those under swing cases and he told me he would spray that for me as well.
So with that said I'm get in my 6 1/2 foot bed sprayed for $350

Wait the dealer is doing it or you are buying the truck with the factory spray in? Cause those are two different things

I know here the dealer doesn't do it if it didn't roll off the truck that way from the factory. They send everything over to Line-X at a dealer rate.

Depending on your location and dealer (if you dealer has its own certified body shop) they usually have guys trained in spraying some other brands of bed liner. Such as TOFF or GatorHyde.

I purchased my 2016 F250 about two weeks ago from a different ford dealership about two hours south of me.
The dealership in the town that I live in has all the tools to do the spray in bedliner's at the dealership.

Default Mine has been awesome

I had mine thrown in free when I got the truck and they did a fantastic job. It will be 4 years in September and its held up incredibly well. I utilize the bed on a monthly basis from everything to home depot trips to hauling the family stuff around, etc.... I think I have one nick in the liner and that was from a pallet of stone that was close to 1000 pounds! Truck rode like a champ, my payload sticker says 1637 LBS and I way 185 before anyone starts hounding me lol.

Its a truck!

I'm not an expert on this by any means, but I THINK that FoMoCo does a factory bed liner on some trucks, and I THINK that liner is sprayed right on the painted bed with no scuffing of the paint/metal, and is sprayed rather thin. I saw some Line-X video where they showed how easy it was to take the factory liner out, and how much thicker and better the Line-X product is when properly installed.

However, I also know that my dealer offers a spray-in bed liner on some trucks as part of the deal if it doesn't already have a liner in it (either the drop-in or the factory spray-in). For this, they have contracted with a local shop to do the work for them. I don't know if my dealership uses Line-X or someone else ... but I do know that they don't do it at the dealership.
