Just kidding, but its been a tough week. Started out with check engine lite illuminated on wifes 96 Explorer 5.0. PO402, excessive EGR flow detected. Normal remedy is the infamous DPFE sensor. After searching around for it using a dealer print out of system, decided to drag parts counter guy out to vehicle by his ear, show me! OOPS, he couldn't, my vehicle with its OBD II system doesn't have the OBD II parts. Buy the original EEC IV part called EVP sensor, go back to my house/garage at Searchlight, Nv. Reminder its been 215 miles since CEL was erased, install sensor, alls good. Get up at 4AM to go fishing, let boat push me down the hill, 14 miles to the ramp at Cottonwood Cove. (Ask Sin City to verify grade). Launch boat in the dark, go to park vehicle, CEL is starring at me. Went fishing, caught no fish, back to Searchlight to look at engine. PO401 now on tester, insufficient EGR. Go figure, closed hood to read service manual (thats for you WDE 3477). Came back to Henderson today to find a plugged up toilet. I'm a failure, I QUIT. Off to LA tomorrow to visit new grandaughter. Need a change. Will be driving wifes Explorer, been 88 miles after erasing CEL. Wish me luck.

It's probably of no consolation this, but the CEL in our 94 TC has been lit for about a year....no EGR flow. The cause: Clogged EGR channels in the intake goose-neck. I haven't got to it because it's a bitch to get at.
The fuel mileage has not been adversely affected, and Florida does not have vehicle inspection, so why mess with it?

In your case as with mine, if the grand state of Nevada does not have vehicle inspection, then leave the thing alone and put a piece of black tape over the CEL.
