Default I'm baaaack!

After a 6 year stint in Qatar, 4 of which driving a one of a kind F150 that got ogled at everywhere it went, I am finally back stateside (as of January 2013). Unfortunately I had to sell the truck in Qatar - it was purchased by a good old boy from Oklahoma, so I know it was left in good hands. As a Texan moving to New Jersey, I had a dummy attack and bought an Infiniti G35 Sport Sedan instead of sticking with a trusty F150. While I loved the car, it was a huge mistake.

I am happy to report that after a year+ confined to the Infiniti, I am back in an F150. While not as luxurious, I now know that I will not be stuck at home every time a snow flurries and I wont have to strip everything out of the wife's SUV for a Home Depot trip...

Let the mods begin!

The 2010 I purchased came with an AirRaid CAI, bot it is not tuned to my knowledge. So a tuner is on the agenda, although I may wait until after I add new wheels and tires since 5star will need the tire size infor for speedo recalibration. I am also researching changing the cloth seats to leather. It looks to be about an $800 upgrade, anyone have experience with this?

Thanks and I am glad to be back on the forum.

Default Tell me about it

Besides not having a Whataburger, I have to resort to On the Border for any kind of TexMex unless I make it myself.

OTB for queso and Shiner Bock. Taco Bell for everything else (although not a fan of their breakfast)

clazzio has leather covers that really look like they are factory... the jumpseat cover doesn't look great where it goes over the fold down console the way they want you to put it on, but i've seen people get very good looking results modifying the way they put it on there to where it looks like the whole thing was done by a professional upholstery shop... I don't have them (yet) but they are <$500.

I'm from the northeast and now in Texas... never moving back!

When I went up north alot of people just sat there and listened to me talk. The Southern RedNeck accent with a tinge of my old Cajun accent got alot of attention. o^o
