If I want to prevent truck theft, what you think of removing a fuse?

I think it's pointless. If it were that easy, automakers wouldn't spend so much developing anti-theft systems. In any case, if you read OR POST the details on the interwebz, it's NOT going to be effective, because thieves can read it, too.You obviously don't understand how those work. That ONLY stores the location in your phone of where YOU left that tag. When your phone loses communication with the tag, it stores the GPS coordinates so you can go back there & look for it. Air tags do NOT track moving objects, or transmit their own locations - they have no battery to transmit with. They're entirely passive, like toll booth passes.Maybe not, but they might be PO'ed enough to vandalize it when they realize you're smarter than they are. If you only disable the vehicle in an inconspicuous & unobvious way, they're more likely to think it's just broken-down (after trying to steal it), and leave it alone. No, I'm not going to explain in detail, but it's pretty easy to rewire things or add switches to create this effect. This doesn't have details on WHERE you choose to put the switch on your truck, but it shows & explains the basic concept:

This is undoubtedly the most-effective solution.

If you do it right maybe they'll feel sorry for you and leave you some repair money. Make sure to leave a Gofundme account number close by. Leave some signs of personal hardship out where they can be seen.

It still only uses the PHONE's location - there's no GPS inside the tag.

It uses any iPhone to identify its location (or android like I said) if it’s within Bluetooth range, but if so can absolutely be used to track real time location and has a battery to maintain such communication and location information. I’ve seen my cars location in a public parking spot when anyone who passes by with a phone enable it to ping its location at the instant they’re within range.
It’s remarkable how reliable it is in populated areas given how many people carry smart phones these days. And if someone does steal the vehicle, if they too have a smart phone on them it can be used to track itself through them (again with caveats that those air tags also have their own issues such as notifying carrying individuals that a tag is present with them and can beep to indicate where they are).

Kill switch, Air Tag, and good insurance would be my go to. Chances are, they aren't going to look for where the kill switch is. Air Tag and Insurance if it is gone. My friend used his Air Tag to get his truck back recently... but it didn't stop someone from taking it.

What kind of damage was done? Steering column, ignition cylinder, etc. Seems like Ford's anti-theft systems don't work well if people are driving these trucks away.
