I know nothing about Fords. 
My truck is an 05 with the 5.4 It has a FIPK and ill be doing exhaust very soon but I am curious what type of tuner to get. I won't be towing and milage isn't a problem. My problem is lack of gittyup! 
So what type of tuner are people running to get some umph out of these? Thanks.

Look for an Edge Evo. They are frequently for sale used on this forum or you can get a new one for about $300.
It will make more difference to your truck than anything else you can buy for that price.
There are also some other brands that offer the same result.

Edge or sct brands are by far the most popular for the f series trucks. If there is a specific model you are considering, let me know which one and can get you a quote for it
