I have a 2014 Tremor with the 8" MFT Nav no sony, and every time I start the truck, it defaults back to whatever the past source was.

Mine does that too, though I didn't think to get into that w/ my previous posts. For example, if I was listening to the media player on my phone (through SYNC of course) when I turned off my truck ... when I get back in the truck later, the song I was last on starts playing again.

So, on that note (as stated in previous posts) ... the bluetooth connection for media audio stays intact for me, and I don't have to re-sync, re-pair, etc. each time.

Interesting. If I'm streaming through bluetooth and get out of the car to run in a store or something, when I come back it does automatically start streaming again. But if the truck is shut off for a few hours, I have to select bluetooth stereo as the source for it to stream again because it defaults back to FM radio.

This is with Sync 2, the 8" screen.

I'm with you on the Bluetooth audio crap. It is the most ridiculous thing I have to deal with day to day. What kind of new engineers do have at Ford these days ??
Is there a work around? What does Ford say about this stupidity? I would love to sit down and speak with the group that designed this.
I would rather just plug my phone in and listen to my podcast that way. Who needs this unreliable Bluetooth junk !!!

There was an update to Sync that restored the Bluetooth functionality to default back to Bluetooth when you get back in the truck.
In one version, they changed the default to go to Line In. In the latest update, it defaults back to whatever source it was on previously (including streaming from Bluetooth). Grab the Sync update from Ford's site and you should be good to go.

Thanks for the reply Rangerdogy.
Do you know how I get the update from Fords site?

Do I download from the truck itself ?

www.syncmyride.com and follow the directions after you register your truck. It's free.
