How much Power?
Im new to the forum and looking to buy a new truck. Ive narrowed it down to the F 150 and the Nissan Titan. Im leaning more to the Titan right now because of the power, but im a Ford guy and was looking for someone to compare these two for me? If anyone can or can give me there opinons of the two i would greatly appriciate it.
Never driven the Nissan so can't compare it's power to the F150, but I have heard it is more powerful than the F150 though. I've also heard the interior is crap compared to the F150. I have installed an Air Force 1 CAI, Xcal II with Troyer custom tuning and a custom exhaust with Magnaflow muffler and am pretty happy with the power of my truck. Not sure of the price differences in the 2 trucks you're looking at, but you can get a package deal for those 3 items from Troyer Performance.
Yes Nissan does build quite an engine and a truck for that matter...but really, everyone else builds their pickup truck to compete with the F150...Buy the Ford, the aftermarket for them is ginormous and the informational resources are quite proven.
Good morning siver701,
if you want something that is going to beat the F-150 from a stop light, get your Titan.
If you want something that is going to pull the Titan out of the ditch, better get the F-150.
The Titan is a new truck and therefore doesn't have the aftermarket stuff that the F-150 does. Same when you have it on the road and it breaks down. If you need it fixed, off it goes to a dealership. The F-150 was meant to be fixed with bailing wirer and gun tape.
What are the specs on the Titan? Do you need odd sized or special tools? Do you plan to drive it in the city where it is never too far from the dealer? Do you plan to put a hitch on the back and tow something?
You have 3000 folks here that all own F-150's. Does the Titan have a site where you can see what mods they have done? Do they complain about some of the aftermarket stuff? Can they find aftermarket stuff?
If you recall your history. The Titans fell many thousand of years ago. The F-150 hasn't been beaten yet.
But in the end, the choice is yours to make. Take your time and do what is best for yourself.
One final thought... look at it this way, millions of F-150 owners can't be that wrong...

I have to agree with the above. My friend bought a Titan when they came out and I honestly hated the interior on them. I did drive it and honestly the 5.6 v8 isn't as powerful a everyone rants and raves about. I love my 5.4 and to me the F150 is an all around better built truck. I would honestly get the F150 over the Titan anyday.
I like the interior of the F150 ALOT better than the Titan. And also the 10 speaker Rockford Fosgate that they rant and rave about sounds like crap. I remember my friend bragging about his and the subwoofer and he would turn it up and it sounded distorted and raspy. The Titan may look good but I can't say much about the sound, interior, or the power of that 5.6
