My Dad got me started on Ford. He bought a 2wd 1/2ton in 1968 and It lasted till 1982. The engine never failed him once. The body fell apart from hauling hogs in the back. He then bought a 1976 2wd 1/2ton and drove it til 1994. He decided to sell it and bought a 81 chevy 4wd. It was a p.o.s. He the bought a 91chevey3/4 ton 4wd. Its a p.o.s also but he still has it after the 2nd engine and tranny under 100k. He bought an 05 silverado but he rarely ever drives it. Has 11k. He wished he had bought a ford like mine but hind site is 20/20. I told him he should have never stopped buying what works. I have been sold on Fords for years. I go to Chevy and Dodge lots to pick out problems so I have something to argue with friends about.
