Default "How To" for the DVD player

Hello, I'm new here, so I hesitate to ask, but I tried doing a search and couldn't find this information.....

We just bought a 2001 Lariat last week that came with the drop down screen/DVD player. We can't find any instructions on using it, not even in the owner's manual....I've even tried searching the web. Does anybody know where I can find this information?

The reason I am asking, is because we see a selection for TV, yet we can't get anything. By using the remote, it did go through and do a channel search, but nothing. Mostly though, we'd like to know how to properly use all the functions and not mess something up!!!

At the risk of looking really stupid....HELP!!!!!

most likely the person that had the vehicle before you either never bought the antenna or never had one in the first place. Just because you have the TV function doesn't mean it is completely hooked up. Try to locate a antenna first. If that doesn't work it is possible that it isnt able to receive digital signal, therefore you might have to buy a antenna that will.

Thank you!!!!!
We can live without TV, really....I just hate that we don't have any instructions on using that system. If you can't tell by now, this is the first vehicle we have owned that has something like this

I had an aftermarket DVD/TV in one of my previous vehicles. They are very confusing and in all honesty, Not worth it. Hope someone else can help you out more with your model.

I totally understand your feelings! In fact, we used to make jokes when we would pass vehicles that had them...now we stopped doing that!

So, here is another silly question....did this unit come with this truck from Ford, or does it look like something somebody installed aftermarket?
