How to
by using a ratchet to unscrew them and then replacing them
just kidding.
I've got a 2000 4.2 and didn't really have any trouble replacing mine. It's a good idea to replace them one at a time so you don't mess the wires up. When you go to thread the new plug in I like to insert the plug into the cylinder and hand tighten it to make sure you don't cross thread it - once it's snug by hand snug it up with the ratchet.
Most of the guys on this forum agree that you should only use motorcraft plugs as these trucks don't like aftermarket plugs.
