Default Horrible Starter grinding

About every 25 starts or so my truck will make a terrible grinding noise and wont start. But then ill try again and it will start right up fine. I've replaced my starter and it still has the problem. I don't think it is bad teeth on the flywheel because one time it wouldn't start up at all, it just kept making the grinding noise. So that was when i took my starter out and replaced it. When i had the starter out, I looked at the small part of the flywheel than was showing and the teeth appeared to be fine. Anyone know what could be wrong?

Its gotta be the starter or alignment of it. Its not fully engaging the flywheel.

How much did it cost you to replace the flywheel?

normally if it keeps happening the teeth on the starter will eventually wear out, the bendix is softer then the flywheel. FOr this reason you wear out a easily replaced part faster then a flywheel. Your allignment with the flywheel and starter must be off mine does this too sometimes.
