Hey guys, a few days ago I did the Homelink mod and it came out great. Looks factory, works and has better range then my traditional garage door opener. However, my garage has sporadically opened itself and today after I opened it, I was about to pull in when it closed by itself. What's up? Any ideas?

Bad power connection or binding buttons? Ever see the Homelink light flash on it's own?

I haven't seen it flash on its own, but the power is definitely good. Its soldered. I feel like I didn't want to trim away too much fabric and it is tight on the bottom, snug against the buttons. Maybe that's triggering it? But I mean it also opened randomly this morning when I hadn't been in my truck for a good 14 hours.

After your binding comment, I decided to trim a little more fabric away. It looks better, there was a small wrinkle in the fabric that is gone and you can tell there is no pressure on the buttons from the fabric being too tight. Hopefully that was it.

Issue wasn't accidental triggering by the button/fabric binding. Happened again. I "reset" the homelink computer so the garage doesn't open tonight. Any other thoughts?

So an update. I unprogrammed my Homelink from my garage and my problem persisted the next day. I went to use my old garage door opener and it opened the garage then shut it and opened it. I was "stuck" in the garage or my door is possessed. So I figured I found the culprit. Reprogrammed the Homelink, took the batteries out of the old clicker and BOOM, no more problems.
