got my set from them. great product. hi/low kit, 12k (they dont make a 10k, and the 12k offers a blue tint to it) for 110 shipped to the door. Great technical support over the phone, and even when a problem came up w/ the harness, they sent me out a new one right away, free of charge (charged me a harness until they received my old harness but was refunded immediately). Fast shipping, great customer service on every level, and they're on the forum, so you know they ain't gonna be hard to find. I can get you a pic when I leave work tonight (pullin a 14hr day). Just my $.02

Wait wait wait... do you want a slight blue tint or looking like someone laid a blue film over your lights?
10-12k IMHO is useless as its as blue as the Ford logo coming out of your lenses and the light output is actually significantly diminished over stock halogen. (There's a thread around here somewhere of someone who did a comparison with a headlight machine that measures aim and candlepower.)
4500k is OEM HID bluish white
6000k is blue tinted
8000k is the limit of what I (and most others) consider usable HID light but is too blue for my tastes
10000k is REALLY blue and near useless.
12000k is Purple and useless.
Anyone that cares to debate this should go to DDM Tuning and order up a set of lower kelvin temp hids for $29.99 shipped and try them. Find this thread again and post if your opinion changes. I posted 'if' as a courtesy. I have had 5000, 6000, 8000, and 10000 on previous vehicles and I will never use anything other than 5000k as it was the last one I tried. Very impressive and still obviously HID.

This isnt all true. Some manufacturers "listed" color is not what others are. My 12k kit is by no way Purple, or even true Blue. Its "arctic blue" as I heard some call it, kind of like ice under water. The first kit I ordered was a 8k kit as he said his 6k had a slight yellow (factory color) tint to it & his 8k is pretty white & they don't offer a 10k kit so I had to go to the 12k. Now grant it, most kits that are 12K & ^ are your specialty colors. However, like stated, not all manufacturers color codes are uniform. I'll take pics of my 12k kit when I leave, and you'll see, its barely got a blue tint to it.
Is this "not true" or it just does not match your experiences to the tee?
I ask since I have used Fleabay kits in the distant past, and yes. They are all over the board with output and color clarity when you order a certain temp. You can never be sure what you are getting until you plug them in and turn them on. Sure, you will have some fluctuation between this no-name manufacturer's 10k kit and this other manufacturer's 10k kit... but there's not going to be a HUGE difference such as you eluded to. 6k is blue, 8k is deep but usable blue, 10k is REALLY blue. You referred to getting a yellow looking 6k kit... you got the wrong bulbs. OEM HID's range between 4300-5000k and are legally not allowed to be any darker than that since blue is not an approved color by the IIHS to be displayed out the front of a car. Hell, some cities still give tickets to OEM HID equipped cars.
I have used DDMTuning/Apexcone for the last couple years and they are BY FAR AND AWAY the best kits on the market today... and due to some slight insanity by the owner, he has discounted them drastically. What you order is what you get. No questions. The kit looks good and feels quality. Their name is embossed on the ballasts for God's sake.
When you order from the same manufacturer all the time, you get the joy of knowing accurately what color temp yeilds what results. You can take all the pics in the world but we all know that unfortunately they never really pick up the true color of your lights. My 5k kit in the wife's car looks as yellow halogen in pics but it is crystal white in normal driving conditions. Acura TL color with less awesome cutoff line. I was kinda disappointed by the pictures when I wanted to show them off to the other 6 guys.

As for color... Lenn we disagree for once. The 6k kit I have is pure 100% white, the 4k kit was slightly yellow and 8k is blue-ish.
