Hidden exhaust
If you get an exhaust and dump it, it has the possibility of more drone as it is closer to the cab and usually points at the ground causing the sound to per say bounce off the ground and be louder. If you don't mind loud you have nothing too worry about. Also would depend what muffler you go with.
I guess you can say I have hidden exhaust. Cut off where both the diver and passenger side meet and it goes into a 3" pipe through a magnaflow muffler and up over the rear end and then dump to the ground. Sounds awesome to me and it not too loud when going down the highway at 80 either.
I paid 180 to get all that done..

I put a turndown on my Flowmaster 44 on my Chevy. Cost me about $5 for a turndown and clamp. The muffler was around $60. There is a lot of echo and noise if you point it straight down on the ground. If you point it to the side some, it should be a little quiter. I like it because you can't see any exhaust unless you get under the truck.
Right now I'm running a single chamber flow master dumped right before the rear. It's been like that for 2yrs. I took out my spare tire a couple months back. So I decide to go into the shop this weekend and have them route my exhaust up over the rear end and dumped with a 8 inch tip.. Going 2 run me like $220 for it.
